I was just surfing the web regarding funding for Trauma Registry Development. I was very surprised to discover an organization called ALTARUM that is developing a trauma registry for Texas for a rural area of Texas which has ONE major trauma center, already cooperating with the ACS COT NTDB. Is there something that I do not know about ALTARUM that I need to know? Is this an organization working with the US Congress or the Texas Department of Health or the ACS COT? The questions that they apparently are attempting to address have been the identical ones addressed by the ACS COT Trauma Registry for the past 20 years. HELP. _Joint Theatre Trauma Registry_ (http://www.altarum.org/index.cfm?ID=201) _Health Science Center News_ (http://www.tamhsc.edu/news/archives/001859.php) I was wondering if in our trauma linkages and integrated networks, we could have applied for some of this $7 Million. Did anyone on this list server know that this amount of money was available to those developing trauma registries. Something does not compute here k ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
