IO's?...good for?

Blueflightmedic, 

when you admin the lido, we use a 20mg dose to
properly anathesise (awful spelling, I apologize)the
cavity. The pt feels some burning pain, and did you
have the IO fluid connected to a pressure device,
infusion bag or BP cuff? I have used it the EZ IO a
couple of times, and all successful. Oue medical
director and recieving facitilites are such a big fan
of it that we our standing orders to use it have
expanded to using it if a pt is having an AMI, even
though a IV access is succusful.
