Hi all, Apologies to those who co-subscribe to CCM-L/TRAUMA-L/EMED-L for the multiple copies. I've been approached with a view to becoming the expedition doctor for the next over-wintering expedition of the South African National Antarctic Project, at the SANAE IV base in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. While visiting/working Antarctica has always been a dream, the 14 month duration is daunting. I'm sure there must be doctors amongst this online community who have had experiences similar to this. I'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts on the issue. Feel free to respond off-list if you prefer. Thanks in advance, Ross. _________________ Dr Ross Hofmeyr MBChB (Stell) ATLS ACLS wildmedic at gmail.com ross at wildmedix.com www.wildmedix.com "Semper Paratus"
