Regards Mark F ATACC MD, UK ----- Original Message ---- From: "DWGKENNEDY at aol.com" <DWGKENNEDY at aol.com> To: trauma-list at trauma.org Sent: Wednesday, 11 July, 2007 1:49:05 PM Subject: Military Surgery Study Day - Glasgow 12th Oct 2007 Dear All, I would like you to know about a meeting planned for 12th October 2007 in Glasgow, Scotland. The topic is military surgery, an increasingly common form of major trauma. As the title suggests, we plan to tackle both basic principles and advances from the research base. A highlight will be discussion of the events of the London bombings from the civil authority and clinical perspective. Although I am biased, I think it will be a great day and I very much look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow! Please let me know if you wish to receive the full details and flyers. Best wishes, Doug Kennedy Topics include: · Key Milestones in Military Surgery · Current Military Medical Doctrine · General Surgery: War & Peace Duration · Safe Military Orthopaedic Surgery · What happens when the bombs go off: Experience from the London Bombings · Emerging therapies in resuscitation and military trauma care · Imaging in Military Trauma · Current Research in Military Trauma Care · Lessons from other conflicts · Training Military Surgeons of the Future -- trauma-list : TRAUMA.ORG To change your settings or unsubscribe visit: http://www.trauma.org/index.php?/community/
