On Call Services and Hospital Response to Failure to Present

I am looking for opinions on what hospitals do in response to surgeons who refuse to evaluate patients when they are consulted, when they are on call.  I realize that this would be viewed as unacceptable by the lion share of members here, but what i'm looking for is specifically what your individual institutions do in response to this, should it occur.
