That's no good. They're no better than us. If you saw the movie you would know that he praised the medical profession and vilified the insurance companies. During the dot com era when insurance companies where making money faster than they could spend it they gave away malpractice insurance practically for free. Lawsuits didn't increase. The market went down and the insurance companies raised thier rates. How can a company that takes as much money as they can from the middle, claim to be a friend of the doctors or the patients. Insurance companies are some of the most regulated companies in the world. If you want to make money in that kind of business you need to work around the regulations or get into bed with the regulators. Then you have the doctors blame the lawyers (and there are some that deserve the blame) and the lawyers blame the doctors (and there are some that deserve blame). Then insurance companies tell the doctors how much they can charge and the patients how much coverage they can have. I'm in earnest about where you practice, I'm sure that the care is the best in the world. Not that the insurance companies care.
