I bet Eric was overwhelmed with such a detailed reply!

Seriously,
the problem with saying that each patient and their doctors must assess the
risks and benefits of any diagnostic imaging test is that for the most part,
even if we had a patient who could understand the concept of risk, we DON'T
actually know what those risks are or how to quantify them.

There may or may not be a tsunami of CT induced malignancies on the way.
We'll just have to wait and find out.
