Jane,

We do one on every patient admitted to our facility with a trauma-related
ICD-9 code, regardless of which service the patient is admitted to.  They
are done 24 hours after admission to the floor, or on transfer from the ICU
to the floor, and are done by the resident or PA on call that day.
