Jane, We do one on every patient admitted to our facility with a trauma-related ICD-9 code, regardless of which service the patient is admitted to. They are done 24 hours after admission to the floor, or on transfer from the ICU to the floor, and are done by the resident or PA on call that day. Happy Holidays and best wishes to you all, Ron >>> "Harper, M Jane" <M.Jane.Harper at osfhealthcare.org> 12/19/2007 3:41 PM >>> Are any of your facilities routinely using tertiary surveys to detect missed injury? If so, who is performing them? Thanx Jane ---------------------- Jane Harper, PhD(c), RN, ACNP, CCNS, CNRN, CCRN Trauma Advanced Practice Nurse OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL 815-227-2539 or pager 548 m.jane.harper at osfhealthcare.org ============================================================================== The information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged.
