crush injury

A crush injury would develop more from being trapped under a car, or heavier object for a prolonged period of time. I wouldnt assume that being beating with a belt would cause a crush injury for obvious reasons. This may be a bad question, would an increase in potassium also be an indicator of a crush injury, secondary from the rabdo? I was reading the other posts, is the the thought behind the Lasix?

his relatives.

his back, both arms and thighs were bruised.

couple of questions regarding crush injury?
how do you
estimate severity? do you use % body surface area involved?
How
useful is CK measurement?
what type of fluid is used?
ringers/saline?
