UPPER MEDIASTINUM Trans thoracic INJURY: ADMISSION CHEST RADIOGRAPH

The chest xray is just as I would have imagined it to
look. Unless there is some evidence of head injury, I
stand by my original post.

After some thought, if we don't really know whether or
not a bullet went through that lip and and broke his
tooth, then we should consider a concominant blunt
mechanism (blunt injury with penetrating injury was a
unique phenomenon we'd see quite often in Newark when
someone would get SHOT and then be PUSHED out of a
moving car, off a building or whatever) with the blown
pupil it may be defendable to get a CT of the head
prior to any other intervention, provided that he is
stable enough.

I failed to mention, after reading Tim's post, that he
should undergo bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy during
surgery if he's stable enough to handle it.
