Thanks for the furtherr info guys. I had absolutely no intention of trying anything but the most basic of interventions if any. Intubating in a fire risk area is plain madness and medical equipment is simply not robust enough (ETT's in a bag on a hot day are hard enough to manipulate!). I may have expressed myself badly. My question was more, has anyone any experience of improved manual handling tools to extricate a casualty and is there any basic clean air apparatus that can quickly and simply be placed on the patient.
