I knew this was coming. Perhaps consideration should be given to the possibility that if one of those injured/killed students had been legally carrying a handgun of their own they may have been able to stop the attacker. Self-defense is an individual right and responsibility; you cannot and should not count on the police to protect you in situations like the one today in VA. Sgt.
