Of course that would not be a population based sample. One would hope that those injuries, especially the later ones on the list are being seen at trauma centers that participate in the ACS data set. Discharge data might be more representative but not realistic to obtain and analyze for the US as a whole. The tremendous advantage of the ACS data set is that it exists and you can query it. Maybe ask Dr. Ellen Mackenzie at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. R.
