I am a paramedic from Toronto Canada and I have taken BTLS which is Basic Trauma Life Support, which is now known as ITLS or International Trauma Life Support. I am just curious as to what exactly PHTLS is as compared to BTLS. BTLS is for pre-hospital providers and and deals with exactly with what was mentioned in the previous posting with regards to PHTLS such as MOI, treament and patho. Maybe in Canada, we just don't refer to it as PHTLS. If there is a large difference though, I would like to look into taking the course. Can anyone share some insight?

I am due to take the PHTLS course next month. I am currently awaiting
the course material.

I am just wondering what i should expect from the course what
workstations were offered and wether there are any specific things i
need to be preped for, i understand each centre is different but i am
just trying to get the broad overview of peoples experience.
