Bad situation.    Decompression of cord not really  effective.  Steroids have 
no functional benefit, and probably contribute to  complications.    Various 
drugs have been subject of research,  and no real benefit.    Research in mice 
with stem cells is  interesting, but not ready for humans.     Begin early  
program of rehabilitation and life style changes to adjust to a terrible  
injury.
