There have been several good suggestions including septal fenestration, endovascular stenting and open repair (total descending aortic replacement). Few have suggested blood pressure control alone. Ben Reynolds, PA-C Ben. The issue at the moment is whether he has an injury or not. Until an injury is identified and its morphology is defined the others are pure conjecture. Blood pressure control is appropriate while the possibility exists. (and septal fenestration is a procedure for atherosclerotic dissection and is not appropriate for a traumatic injury IMHO). Karim
