Paul,
 
I TOTALLY think drug companies are part of the axis of evil. I just thought
citing the use of an abbreviation for an actual  chemical name was an odd
choice to demonstrate this. Otherwise I couldn't agree more and would be
happy to rant at length off list.

Well I have a tendency to call aspirin uuhhh... I know, aspirin! ASA isn't a
term used in Oz or the UK. Plavix however is certainly a trade name, and
given almost everyone here from the US seems to refer to all drugs by their
trade name, I guess the drug companies do have a little influence, wouldn't
you say?
