where l practise medicine, as a student, we usualy don't have much choice,
but get just fine with oro- or naso-pharyngeal tube depending on kind of
patient. one of our attendings onced used combitube. where l stand, if a
patient can't be intubated because of a severe trauma or some other reason
and is apnoic, l wouldn't think any longer but do a conicotomy or
larnygotomy if it was about a kid. LMA doesn't seem just the right equipment
for a suspected face trauma.bougie is ok, but l don't have experience with
it.
