Liver enzyme estimation in Liver trauma and other querries.

We published a paper in the late 80s that showed that liver injury (esp intrahepatic hematomas) are extremely rate with normal liver enzymes but not if they are elevated (p < 0.001)
 
Thus if your enzymes are normal, you do not need to do CT if worried about handlebar injuries, etc.
