Prehospital care of severe burns

Hello everyone on the list,

We all know that a casualty of severe burns runs the risk of hypothermia. However, immediately after contact with the source of heat, the patient needs to be  cooled down to prevent further heat trauma. Would you cool the patient down with water initially or keep the patient dry from the beginning?
