The Portex versions also lack the "epiglottic" bars which are present on  
Brain's products, correct? This permits easier passage of a tracheal tube  
through the LMA. 
 
Ambu's product is similar. I'm told that the mask is molded such that the  
angle on the anterior-facing surface of the body of the mask is such that it  
directs tubes and introducers placed through the laryngeal mask more towards the 
 glottic aperture.
