Hi all, I have a question about EDT: do you perform direct cardiac fluid infusion, if peripheral venous access is difficult? "Roberts & Hedges Emergency Procedures" recommends an intra-atrial catheter, but recognizes several limitations, like procedural delay, possibility of further atrial injury and possible occlusion of atrial flow. Is it reasonable to access directly the ventricle? Cheers, Felix. Emergency Medicine Residency HPS-POA Brazil.
