I am interested in learning from others when "acute trauma care" is transitioned to routine, ongoing care while in a hospital setting. For patient's who clearly met trauma criteria but have a prolonged inpatient stay for renal failure or respiratory complications, when do trauma services stop and routine care start? I have found it challenging to find a definition of "acute trauma care" and would appreciate advice and input from others. Thanks so much, Sheila Muller Sheila Muller, RN Associate Director Navigant Consulting, Inc. 550 S.
