It depends. If the patient was comatose or had other injuries which could not be immediately fixed at the transferring institution, it is a waste of time to get the imaging. Just transfer the patient without delay. Unfortunately no CT of head was done in the ER. Should this be protocol and is it protocol in other level one hospitals, when the MVA is a rollover???
