NOM of splenic injury

We have seen 3 in the last month. Each developed rupture about 2-3 weeks 
after injury and required splenectomy.  Each had contained hematomas or small lacs 
( nonbleeding ) in the spleen. Each left the hospital the first time with 
stable hemograms and returned with large hemoperitoniums.  Each did well with 
their surgery.  One was an assult, one a work related accident , and one an ATV.
