All of the studies which stipulate the futility of prehospital for trauma describe penetrating or significant total body blunt trauma. Three conditoins which clearly are outside this concept and it was so stated in some of the papers on the subject would be: 1. Spinal cord injury 2. Electrocution 3. Hypothermia 4.
