Almost all of the landmark books on surgical techniques for the 
treatment of battlefield injury, going back as far as Pare in the 1500's 
and Morel in the 1600', present some form of rudimentary 'evidence' to 
support their recommendations..... yet this one presents not even one 
reference. Hmmm..... Interesting.
