Nowadays it is easier to diagnose the reason without going with knife
inside. I would try to find out the source at least

A question regarding retroperitoneal hematomas in blunt trauma. While
texts advise exploration in all central retroperitoneal hematoma's, in a
hemodynamically stable pt. with no other reason to go to the OR would
observation be acceptable??  It's generating some controversy!
