Ken If you are talking about LODOX - watch this space. (I could not see from your original mail what you are replying to). The guys at UCT are to present a paper on their experience with Lodox at the upcoming ASSA-SAGES 2004 conference in Cape Town RSA, so once I've heard their views I'll update the list as to it's usefulness or not. I know they use it in their trauma unit fairly extensively, and Ken Boffard also has one at Johannesburg, if I'm not mistaken! We do not have one at Tygerberg, so I'm interested to see the experience of our other South African colleagues. If it merely leads to other imaging, and is an unnecessary intermediate step, then it is redundant and should not be purchased. On the other hand, if there is data to support that this device alters decision making and prevents other expensive tests, then it should go forward with evaluation. Is this another of the technology in search of an indication? k -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
