In the spirit of the Security Council of the UN, I am unilaterally taking a decision for the trauma-list members. All circular arguments based on deeply held emotional principles whose very nature cannot be traced back to a fundamental law of nature / mathematics, and which are unlikely to be changed even if the discussion went on for the next millennium, are NOT to be discussed on the trauma-list*. There are hundreds of TV, cable and web news feeds and discussion areas where more enlightened (and signficantly - more interested) people hang out. More importantly, they have made a choice to hang out there, rather than the trauma-list members who have chosen to hang out here to discuss trauma & critical care type issues. Interesting as your arguments may (or may not) be - here is not the place to have them.** *Exceptions: - war injuries / war trauma - politician injuries (actual, not desired) - if I say so.
