Press upwards on the mastoid styloid. Good and painful, in a high distribution and localised to side. For standard work, a nearby site is squeezing the trapezius. Avoid rubbing the sternum as this leaves ugly bruises 4 days down the line that relatives are upset by and avoid rolling pens over fingernails or pinching as these too leave marks.
