Traction Splints in the prehospital setting

I must agree with Mr. Black a traction splint such as the sager as been a send in the numerous cases I have used them in, including the isolated femur of a 5 year old female. I think anyone who doesn't place a traction splint on a pt. prior to attempting to move or transport is being unessarily cruel to the pt.
