If patient is stable he may have stopped bleeding, I would take to OR and 
remove packs carefully.  It is good that you have blood available.  If he has 
stopped bleeding you are done. If not see what you can fix and repack if 
necessary.  I have taken pts back several times for pack changes.  good luck and 
congrats for getting as far as you have. RWolfer
