persistent air leak

What happens when you take her off suction?   Does the lung stay up.   It 
could be that the air leak is your sucking air out of the lung from an injury 
to the lung parenchyma.   If there is pleural symphasis, and when you go to 
underwater seal, without suction, the lung stays up.  then you are on your 
way to healing.
