Appendecitis and CT

Although the debate on appendicitis and CT has died
down Itake this opportunity to ask list members the 
number, percentage wise of appendicectomies performed
laparoscopically and by open technique worldwide.For
cholecystectomies the data exists to show LC : OC is
9:1.Have any such studies been conducted or are being
conducted for appendicectomies?
