Fair comment Pete, you've obviously worked here!!!
Has anyone used the Flectalon blanket? It's basically a thick layer of 
shredded aluminium foil encased in a nylon covering and is used like a 
sleeping bag. We use it on our helicopters and it's quite popular with 
Mountain Rescue Teams etc. Although I agree completely with the comments re. 
space blankets, this traps warm air as well as reflecting heat.
