Deep water SCI management

Dear Lachlan,
Through my limited experience, my understanding is that deep water
rescue (of a pt with SCI) is highly problematic at the best of times. I know
that some Life-saving organisations here in Australia have been trying to
come up with satisfactory methods for several years(not sure if they've come
up with anything yet-sorry). I do remember seeing that a US organisation (I
think that it was the US Coast Guard) had developed some techniques and
equipment for open water scenarios - maybe they'll be able to give you
further information.
