I have experience as a Trauma Program Manager in a verified Level II without
the benefit of residents - we run it with an all private physician staff. I
would be happy to discuss with you off the list.

I have been trying to review different trauma models for Level 2 hospitals,

without the benefit of having a medical school within a 200 mile radius.

Does anyone have any ideas on different ways to run trauma services for the

Level 2 ? I would be very interested. I.e, have PA's receive the patient,

then have the surgeon come in, have residents from a nearby medical school

help with the patients, hire one or two private surgeons be the trauma

surgeons w/ back up from local surgeons for vacations, illnesses etc. Please

let me know your ideas asap.

Thank you. Mary.-----Original Message-----

I have been trying several different trauma registry software demo's

and would like feedback from the group. Any comments (pro's &

con's) would be much appreciated.
