Emergency thoracotomy-Rib resectors???

Thanks Ken and all the other contributors,
I have really enjoyed reading the comments on this thread and it has simply
confirmed what I believed all along...stay out unless you are on familiar
ground, both surgically and hospital-wise.
At least I can damp down the enthusiasm of some of  our 'young guns' packing
the rib-spreaders in the trauma kit!

Ken, just wondered what you thought of Tim's criteria for pre-hospital
intervention?
