Aye.
For once I think I can agree with Pret.

This subject was indeed thoroughly discussed on the paramedicine list =
prior to it being raised on this trauma list. A constructive (mostly) =
conversation was had.

Your points on the actions of a few reflect on the rest, are very true. =
Just as EMSrs might form an opinion about a particular hospital based on =
the actions of a few nurses or doctors, there very well may be other =
completely qualified, competent, and respectful caregivers at that same =
facility.

I took the liberty of PCng your statement: "Tragic, yes--and there but =
for the grace of God go any of our ( EMS systems, Police Departments, =
Fire Departments, ER/A&E, OR/Theatre, ICU, ITU, NICU, PICU, Radiology, =
Taxi, Flight Attendants, Factory Workers, Nursing Homes, etc), which =
attract passionate, sometimes opinionated, and very occasionally =
incompetent providers."

Be safe. Drive fast (for EMSrs). Keep warm.
Nick
