heartvalves and hypovolaemia

Hello, could someone help me with this please.
I have just completed the CATN trauma course,and one thing we were told =
was that a complication of hypovolaemia is leaking heart valves, and =
cardiac failure as pressures generated arent great enough to shut the =
valves completely. Having never heard this is it referenced somewhere or =
is it correct
