Ken,
Put the patient on her side, and do a lateral shoot through X-Ray. It
will show a partially deflated lung.
Over the years I have posted a few letters advocating bronchoscopy for
minimal cause - it is safe if all precautions are taken and quick, and
gives a lot of information.

By the way, I am not interested in participating in a battle of wits, just
getting to the bottom of this issue. Further, despite all this talk of
