Classic Cases

Happy New Year to you all!

As part of the January update of the Trauma.org web site we've started a new
case repository, called 'Classic Cases'.

These are not designed to show the rare or unusual, but to illustrate
classic injury patterns, decision nodes, imaging techniques or methods of
treatment. Hopefully, with contributions from list members and other web
site users, the database will grow into a valuable resource for education
and training, much as the Trauma Imagebank has succeeded in becoming a one
of the best medical image collections on the 'net.

There's four cases up on the web site, accessible from the main page
(www.trauma.org) to give you an idea of the sort of presentations.
Basically, the standard format is a case presentation, ideally with one or
more images, a discussion of the case's salient features, and at least 2
references.

Please keep the 'Classic Case Bank' in mind when you go about your daily
business, and consider submitting any 'Classics' to the database.
