Why mess with the patient. From what I read, we can use the "don't fix
what is not broke" protocol (for lack of a better term) if the situation was
as cut and dry as was presented. The pt seems stable unless there is some
laryngeal edema going on that was not mentioned or other info was not
included in your question. Let us know.
