how is your experience with this device as opposed to clamping a sheet in place?  i wonder, because i hesitate at the cost as well.

We have been using the T-POD (trauma pelvic orthotic device) for about 6 months. I first heard about it here on the Trauma-List. It is a corset with a pulley that is very easy to apply and would work in the pre-hospital environment. Early reports on actual use here are favorable, the orthopedists seem to like it and feel it is effective. I talked with colleagues in Sweden who also had good things to say about it. The major downfall seems to be the price, $200 each.
