Drug (ab)use in Medicine?

Jeff, you write that you would "trust the judgement of someone who obeyed
the law of the land".  In the 1930's in Nazi Germany if you knew your
neighboor was a jew that had not identified themselves as such to the
state, then hey, you weren't following the law of the land.  Neither was
that jewish family that did not report themselves in.  A pretty drastic
comparison I agree, but still...
