The only
Level 1 Trauma and Burns center in New Mexico, the trauma

admits 1500-1800 acute trauma cases each year as well as |

250 burn patients. The service is staffed by 3 attending |
|
trama
surgeons, a certified nutrition support dietician, two database
|
|
specialists
as well as a number of residents and medical students. |
|
Lifeguard
Air Ambulance is based at the hospital for tertiary referrals. |
