activities |
The San
Francisco Injury Center is one of 11 centers of excellence
in injury control funded by the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC). A major focus of the San Francisco Injury
Center is traumatic brain injury, with research activities
that include the entire injury spectrum, from the basic cellular
response to brain injury, to outcomes research following brain
injury. Other research activities of the Center include basic
and clinical resuscitation studies, the use of ultrasound
in trauma, training for trauma in simulation, and surveillance
for pedestrian and violent injuries. |
