Based
at the only Level I facility on the west coast of Florida,
Tampa |
|
General
Hospital receives approximately 150 trauma admissions per
|
|
month,
with 85% having associated musculoskeletal injuries. The |
|
Orthopaedic
Trauma Service consists of four full time fellowship trained
|
|
traumatologists
as well as a trauma registrar. A large referral base from
all |
|
of Florida permits us to treat a high volume of calcaneal,
acetabular, |
|
pelvic
and comminuted articular fractures. Using indirect reduction,
|
|
multiplanar
osteotomies and Ilizarov techniques, post traumatic |
|
reconstruction
including fusions, malunion, nonunions and osteomyelitis |
|
surgery
are performed. |
